Help us to evaluate the Transition Movement

Join a global conversation about the impact, relevance and potential of the Transition movement.

What impacts are the Transition movement having in different parts of the world?  Where do we see energy and potential and where are we struggling?  How is our movement responding to the current context of rapidly deepening and accelerating ecological and social crises?  And how might the Transition movement evolve and adapt, so that we can get even better at supporting resilience and regeneration in the times that are coming?

Let us know what you think here: https://transitionnetwork.org/news-and-blog/help-us-to-evaluate-the-transition-movement/

Re-energising Training for Transition: Feedback from Webinars

In August we shared an update about the international work to re-energise training for Transition and extended an invitation to join a webinar to hear a presentation of the research report and for us to hear your thoughts on next steps.

During August and September six webinars were held in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and we would like to share some of the many insights and questions that were harvested from these meetings. Find out more here:

And we look forward to seeing you on Thursday 12th November, for a brilliant Online Workshop on Inner Transition: exploring our personal response to the crisis with the help of the Work that Reconnects
Zoom link:  https://zoom.us/j/97948362375     18.00 – 19.30 CET     Your time zone here
Facebook event:   https://www.facebook.com/events/645956579415262
This will be an online workshop on Inner Transition, exploring our personal response to the crises with the help of the Work that Reconnects.  This can help each of us personally as we work in the fields of sustainability and collaboration, and also provide useful insights and skills that we can draw on to deepen and increase the meaningfulness of collaboration work.  The Work that Reconnects helps people discover and experience their innate connections with each other and the self-healing powers of the web of life, transforming despair and overwhelm into inspired, collaborative action.  This will be an introduction to this work with opportunities for interaction.

Neighborhood Parliaments opportunity

We are changing the world for the better by bringing real self-governance to every neighbourhood.

Join us – and lead the way – by becoming a Neighbourhood Parliament Animator!

Neighbourhood Parliaments are places where every local person can get involved in creating a thriving and resilient community. Connecting residents, local government, and other local institutions, a Neighbourhood Parliament provides a forum for disaster preparedness, emergency response, and general economic development and environmental conservation. The Neighbourhood Parliament movement is one of the world’s largest, with more than 400,000 actively participating neighbourhoods.

We are launching the third cohort of our online Animator Training programme on the 24th of November. This will be an intensive two and a half week programme which takes you from complete beginner to an active member of our growing community of Animators, organising in your own community.

Are you a community organiser? A worker or owner in a cooperative? A person in business or government who is passionate about achieving the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals? An expert in sociocratic organising? Wonderful! This will take your work to the next level.

But if you’re not yet an activist, organiser, facilitator, or any of those things, don’t worry. This programme will give you everything you need to go all the way in organising your community.

If you think this programme might be for you, book a conversation with one of our faculty members. You can ask any questions you have, and we will get to know you a bit, and we can decide together whether this programme is the best way for you to create the world you most want for yourself and for future generations.
